Posted Septem.222 is a weird vibe with people. Alone at 100 is 500 hopefully this helps. I would guess the proper way to sight it in is, zero the 222 and then figure out how much lower to aim if using the 20 ga. The action was changed to under lever opening in front of trigger guard in 1980. I don't see what you would do to adjust for wind-age. And with the 24' fluted, floated barrel and thumbhole stock, youll shoot farther too. The 222 is very close to bulls eye at 50 yards and the 20 ga is a little high but way off to the left. This gun is in excellent condition and is covered by Durys Lifetime Warranty. After many boxes of 20 ga slugs, found that the 20 ga is shooting 13-15 inches away from the bulls eye at 50 yards. Went back and shot the 20 ga to see where it was hitting and couldn't hit paper.
Pretty good groups, happy and locked the scope down. I put a scope on it and sighted in the 222 first at 50 yards then zero'ed it in at 100 yards. I'm borrowing an old Savage 24V series over and under.222 Rem on top with a 20ga on the bottom.
